The Messenger Association for Christian Love (Associação Mensageira do Amor Cristão, or AMAC) was created 32 years ago in the city of Salvador, Bahia in Brazil. The group was formed by volunteer women who saw an opportunity to help poor families by creating non faith-based organization aimed at helping and educating young children.
Today, the future of the daycare is in great jeopardy. Funding problems may see the daycare close within a few months-- perhaps by September. But you can help. The daycare's payroll can be met with $5,000 per month, which means only $39 per child can provide a boy or girl with comprehensive educational, developmental, and health benefits.
